Vinyl Banner Materials and Environments
All of our banners are made from 13 oz. per sq. ft. reinforced vinyl material in a matte finish and are suitable for hanging indoors or out.
What about a more professional look for indoor applications?
We also offer Vertical Banners with Stands for indoor applications. Portable and professionally finished appearance perfect for tradeshows and directing traffic inside your building.
Mesh Banner Materials for Super Windy Environments
Our 9oz Mesh banners offer the same visibility benefits as vinyl banners, but are lighter and more convenient when constant traveling, set up, and take down is required. They also are much less likely to rip in extremely windy conditions than are vinyl banners. No banner can withstand hurricane force winds.
Our Mesh Banners can only be printed on one side on White material. The image will bleed through the back creating a mirror image of the front in a muted tone.
Hems and Grommets
All of our vinyl and mesh banners are thermally hemmed on the tops and bottoms. Brass grommets are placed in each of the corners and as needed along the top for longer banners.
How do I hang my banner?
There are as many ways to hang banners as there are places to hang them. We provide metal grommets in the corners of smaller banners with additional grommets across the top of the larger banners. The most common approach is to use string, rope, bungees or zip ties to attach the grommets to whatever the situation offers in terms of tie points.
We offer bungess, zip ties and suction cups as an add-on to your banner purchase in our Shopping Cart.
If you are hanging your banner where wind will be a factor you should make an extra effort to keep the banner taut and minimize its ability to "whip in the wind". Outside, the tighter the better. The grommets are placed over hemmed material creating a double layer of reinforcement.
Will I need "wind slits"?
Probably not! Wind slits are half moon shaped cuts in the banner which are used in high wind conditions to allow the wind to pass through the banner and reduce the wind loading on the banner itself. They can be a blessing and a curse! While they do reduce the load on the banners they can, in very high winds, provide a place for a tear to begin. We do not provide them, but if your situation calls for such extra measures you may easily add them using a paint can or bowl for a template and cutting the slits with a utility knife. Or, just get a Mesh Banner.
How should I store my banner when it's not in use?
Given some care your banners can give you years of service. Cleaning can be done with soap and water or isopropyl alcohol. When storing, roll it-never fold it---with the graphics facing OUT.
